Most children become sexually curious earlier than what is depicted in mainstream films/television shows ("only teenagers begin to have sexual feelings around the time they have a drivers license etc") and in many cases, learn about masturbation naturally, by realizing that touching themselves feels good. Masturbation has received shame by those under the fear veil because shaming masturbation essentially tells a child that making yourself feel good and loving yourself are "wrong" - and that you should only get that love in a conditional way (from a partner when you are married) - this is just one of the many ways that the matrix tells people they need to outsource their love.

The neutral reality is that our love is endless and it comes from ourselves and it is natural to love ourselves and not seek other humans to fulfill all our needs.

The only exception to this is when you are a baby/infant - your parents/community are supposed to fulfill your needs. Often times they don't because of the false fear frequency programming of lack/scarcity/absent mindedness.

But they were supposed to protect us and give us a secure base which is the only foundation that we can stand on and make things confidently from.
